October 3rd

Breathe. Watch the breath going in and out. Watch quietly. Pay attention to the rhythm and ease of the movement. And while the breath moves and there is an awareness of that, notice the golden light, the coolness of the autumn breezes and the distant and subtle sounds of the morning.

When we watch in such a way, where are there any problems? Where is fear? Where is thought with its beliefs in separation? Since it does not exist in that moment, it is not real. Problems are only what the mind thinks it sees and therefore thinks are real. But all it is, is just temporary fleeting thoughts that the mind tries to hold onto in the illusion of strengthening itself. Mind-wandering thoughts carry us away from presence, away from peace, and away from knowing what’s real.
